Psychological services supervised by a Registered Psychologist are therapy sessions provided directly by your treating therapist under the overarching care of a supervising psychologist. The treating therapist is a Master’s level clinician who has the required training as a psychotherapist to deliver psychological services under the supervision of a psychologist. They are trained to provide therapy using a variety of evidence-based approaches, as certain approaches have been found to be effective for treating specific types of psychological concerns. During sessions, the treating therapist helps clients gain insight into presenting concerns, explore possible contributing factors, and develop new coping skills and strategies to affect a healthy shift.
Services are covered by most extended health benefits providers. Please check with your provider to be sure of your coverage prior to your first appointment.
